Cookies are small text files that a website places on your browser or device when you visit. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as your preferred settings and search filters — making your next visit more efficient and the site more useful to you. Cookies may be set by GotMotos directly ("first-party cookies") or by third-party services we use ("third-party cookies").
Similar technologies including web beacons, pixel tags, and local storage objects work in comparable ways and are covered by this policy. We refer to all of these collectively as "cookies."
GotMotos uses four categories of cookies.

|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Essential to the operation of the platform. These cookies enable core functions such as page navigation, search functionality, and session management. The site cannot function properly without them. | No — required for the site to work |
| Functional | Remember your preferences and choices — such as your most recent search filters, sort order, and saved vehicle preferences — to improve your experience on return visits. | Yes — disabling may affect search experience |
| Analytics | Help us understand how visitors use GotMotos by collecting aggregate data on page views, search queries, clicks, and session duration. We use Google Analytics 4 for this purpose. | Yes — see Section 5 for opt-out options |
| Marketing | Used to measure the effectiveness of any GotMotos advertising campaigns and to limit how frequently you see the same ad. Currently limited in scope on this platform. | Yes — see Section 5 for opt-out options |

Some cookies on GotMotos are set by third-party services that appear on our pages. These third parties have their own privacy policies and cookie practices, which GotMotos does not control.
Google Analytics 4: We use GA4 to understand how visitors interact with GotMotos. Google may use this data in accordance with its own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Google Fonts: We load web fonts from Google Fonts, which may set cookies related to font delivery. Google's privacy policy governs this data.
As GotMotos integrates additional third-party services — including financing partners or vehicle history providers — this table will be updated to reflect any new cookies those integrations introduce.
You have several options for controlling cookies on GotMotos and across the web.
Browser settings: All major browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies. The following links provide browser-specific guidance: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will impair the functionality of the site.
Google Analytics opt-out: You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Do Not Track: Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" signal. GotMotos does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals, as no uniform standard for their interpretation has been adopted.
