1968 Porsche 912 Soft Window Targa These days, the Porsche 911 is one of the most widely loved sports cars on sale. But upon its release in 1964, many Porsche enthusiasts weren’t thrilled by the company’s plans to swap the 356 for a more powerful, more expensive vehicle. To appease those buyers without having to develop an entirely new car, Porsche did a bit of work on the flat-4 that would have been found in the 356, then dropped it into the short wheelbase 911 shell, creating a lighter, more affordable vehicle known as the 912. This 912 Soft Window Targa is a beautiful example of one of the rarest sub-models of 912 ever offered. Finished in a factory shade known as Tangerine, this 912 benefits from rotisserie restoration which took place between 2008 and 2010 which still presents fantastically well.
