This car has well over 300k miles. (Original gauge cluster was swapped for a 240 cluster a while back) it does run and drive however,it does lose power on the freeway ( unsafe for the freeway)and stall intermittently in normal city traffic. I have been using it on my very short off highway commute to work and have recently acquired a different more reliable vehicle. I unfortunately do not have time to keep messing with this car. I think I have the issue narrowed down to a weak or failing injection pump. But cannot guarantee that. The engine compression is within fsm specifications. The injectors have been pop tested and are good. And the fuel pressure has been checked with a guage t’d into the fuel line after the lift pump. The car never overheated on me although the temp guage stopped working I always checked the coolant and never really drove it on long trips anyways. These tests tell me the engine is good so I assume there’s something wrong with that injection pump. Or maybe the turbo? Im just out of time and this car has to go. Car had a worn out valve body that sometimes lags shifting between 1st and second gear but the transmission does not slip. Tires are good. Registration is good till end of aug.2026 smog exempt clean California title no rot on this car there’s just a little surface rust on the damaged fender. There was a small hole where the spare goes.Car has potential if you have the time to deal with it. Has the Becker radio but speakers are blown. Car comes with a set of euro headlights one has a broken lens. Comes with good a set of rear axles that need boots comes with a 4 speed manual transmission and some of the parts to do manual transmission swap. This car needs work to become highway worthy again and the drivers window is stuck down but sunroof works!thanks for looking!
