1993 Volvo 940 Sedan – 137,617 Miles – Clean Title – Recent Maintenance

1993 Volvo 940 sedan located in Fremont, Nebraska.

This is a clean-looking older Volvo with 137,617 miles showing on the odometer and a clean title. No rust has been observed, and the car presents well overall for its age, with some normal age-related wear.

The vehicle has been driven during my ownership, including recently. However, it stalled once on a recent drive, and its long-term reliability has not been established. I'm selling it as-is and want to be upfront about its condition, maintenance history, and unresolved issues.

Recent Maintenance and Replacement Parts

The following work has been performed during my ownership:

• Mass airflow sensor replaced

• Crankshaft position sensor replaced

• Fuel pump replaced

• Fuel-pump relay replaced

• Fuel filter replaced

• Idle air control valve replaced

• Temperature sensors replaced

• Transmission fluid and filter changed

• Timing belt replaced last year

• Other drive belts replaced

• New battery installed

The tires are in very good condition. The brakes function, and the heated seats work.

Please note that replacing these parts has not resolved all of the vehicle's issues.

Known Issues

• Engine stalling: The engine stalled once recently. It subsequently drove normally, but reliability has not been established.

• Diagnostic code: Code 1-2-2 has persisted despite replacement of the mass airflow sensor and temperature sensors. The underlying cause has not been confirmed.

• Fuel gauge: The fuel gauge does not work.

• Air conditioning: The A/C operates, but the belt will not stay on.

• Radio: The radio displays an anti-theft error following a battery replacement. It worked previously, but I have not removed it to retrieve the unlock code.

• Ignition lock: The ignition lock can be finicky when removing the key. Sometimes the steering wheel must be pulled firmly to one side to release the key.

• Rear child-seat restraint: The rear child-seat restraint/anchor mechanism appears to be stuck down.

• Driver-side door speaker cover: The speaker cover is currently off the door. I still have the cover, and it will be included with the sale. It may need to be reattached.

• Exterior: Minor ding on one fender, slightly bent antenna, and normal age-related wear.
