Risk: Side curtain air bags that do not deploy as intended increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Fix: Dealers will reinstall the side curtain air bags, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 29, 2025. Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain Genesis 2025-2026 G80, GV80, 2026 G80 "Electrified," GV60, GV70 "Electrified" and GV70 vehicles. Due to a software error, the instrument panel display may fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Controls and Displays."
Risk: An instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or fuel gauge, increases the risk of a crash.
Fix: Owners are advised to disable the high definition (HD) radio feature until the recall remedy has been performed. The audio video navigation software will be updated over-the-air (OTA) or inspected and updated by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning February 17, 2026. Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2024 Genesis GV70 vehicles. Water may leak into the transmission control harness, which can cause a short circuit and unexpectedly shift the transmission from Park to Neutral.
Risk: An unexpected shift from Park to Neutral can cause a vehicle roll away and increase the risk of a crash or injury.
Fix: Owners are advised to turn off the ignition and use the emergency parking brake after parking their vehicles. Dealers will inspect the transmission control harness and repair the connector, or replace the harness and internal wiring, as necessary, free of charge.
