The following safety recalls have been issued by NHTSA for the Harley-Davidson Fltrx. If you own this vehicle, check your VIN at our VIN lookup tool or NHTSA.gov to see if your vehicle is affected.
Harley-Davidson Motor Company (Harley-Davidson) is recalling certain 2024-2026 FLTRX, FLHX, 2025-2026 FXBR, FLFB, 2025 FLHXU, 2026 FLTRXL, FLTRT, FLHXL, and FLHLT motorcycles built with an Airbox Baseplate (part number 29000373). The airbox backplate breather port may be blocked, allowing pressure to build up inside the crankcase.
Risk: When the dipstick is removed while the crankcase is pressurized, oil may eject from the fill spout, increasing the risk of injury.
Fix: Dealers will inspect the breather port, and if the port is blocked, repair the blockage, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 14, 2026. Owners may contact Harley-Davidson customer service at 1-800-258-2464. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov April 16, 2025. Harley-Davidson's number for this recall is 0193.

Harley-Davidson Motor Company (Harley-Davidson) is recalling certain 2024 FLHX, FLHXSE, FLTRX, FLTRXSE, and FLTRXSTSE motorcycles. The voltage regulator output wire may rub on the front corner of the crankcase, exposing the wire and causing an electrical short circuit. A short can result in a loss of electrical power and drive power.
Risk: The unexpected loss of drive power and the loss of electrical power while in motion increases the risk of a crash.
Fix: Dealers will inspect and as necessary, repair the voltage regulator output wire harness, and install a secondary retention strap, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 23, 2024. Owners may contact Harley-Davidson customer service at 1-800-258-2464. Harley-Davidson's number for this recall is 0186.

Incident Description: On [XXX], I took delivery of a brand-new 2026 Harley-Davidson road glide from a certified franchise dealership. Within 15 to 20 minutes of departing the dealership, under normal riding conditions on a well-maintained roadway, the motorcycle suffered a sudden, catastrophic mechanical failure. Turn signal buttons require two pushes to activate after a pass. For example, when passing I activate the left signal with one push. As I complete the pass, I press the right signal to merge back into the lane, but it only cancels the left signal. I have to press the right signal button a second time to activate the…
Due to a known manufacturing issue the coil pack wiring was faulty on my motorcycle. It happened twice while I was out riding and both times the motorcycle shut down unexpectedly on me. The second time was almost catastrophic but I was able to ride in neutral to a breakdown lane. I bought the bike in July 2025 and the…
The 2025 Road Glide throttle is malfunctioning. The bike is 5 days old. The throttle is hyper-sensitive. It also is inconsistent in power even when the throttle is held steady it will surge. The bike will tend to pop forward - lurch ahead at slow speeds, especially when coming to a stop. At times the bike will also not reach…
The motorcycle powertrain loses power while traveling at speed without warning. The engine lights come on when the power leaves the powertrain, and I have to coast to a safe location. Recently, it happened while on a road trip to Tennessee on the interstate and I had to maneuver through traffic, coasting to get to the shoulder of the road…
The Skyline OS on the infotainment system frequently resets and goes entirely black during rides. This is a known software problem that Harley does not seem to be able to fix. It means that in the middle of a ride, you lose your speedometer and don’t know how fast you are going. The system takes several minutes to reset.
On multiple occasions the instrument panel on the dash has gone off sometimes it comes back on in seconds and sometimes it takes minutes. On occasion it has gone black leaving me without a speedometer or gas gage. You must pull over shut the bike off let it "reboot", this has been on going since buying the bike new in…
