Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2024 Elantra, Venue, and Kona vehicles. An electrical short circuit may occur in the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve assembly, which can result in a loss of drive power.
Risk: A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Fix: Dealers will replace the exhaust gas recirculation valve assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 28, 2024. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 260.

My 2024 Hyundai Elantra limited keep slamming the breaks and Hyundai keep running me in circles and won’t fix it. I fear my vehicle will cause a collision. A case with Hyundai has been open for over 3 months.
Car is separating from the hood and vehicle body and also separation in trunk and body. There’s a gap forming and it’s about 1” on one side and 1/4” on the other.
The contact owns a 2024 Hyundai Elantra. The contact stated that while driving 30 MPH and depressing the brake pedal, excessive force was needed to bring the vehicle to a stop.
